Benfleet Bet – 5th Round update

Archives

Benfleet betAfter the 5th round results Tim Harris is still out in front after nailing 11 points which was the second highest score of the round with a host of others Managers namely, Ben Guarino, Andi Turner (who still hasn’t mastered which side of the predictor form to complete), Rob Munden, Barry Paull, Richard Brown, Mark Dewberry, Jordan Perry and Barry Plummer. Plums was the main mover in the table moving up from 9th to 2nd.

Dave Allen (who assisted Ready ever so slightly in putting together the predictor form) top scored with 12. Other scores of note were Dan Weeks, Lee Horne and Alastair Bigg with a very respectable 10 points. At the other end of the spectrum was John McGowan with 4 and Ready with a woeful round low of 3.

With only 7 games to go Tim is going to be difficult to catch but if one of the chasing pack of maybe a dozen Managers nails a 5+ goals game correctly then they will be right back in it. I notice Jason Syrett is mirroring his beloved Arsenal and clinging on for a top 4 spot.

We are still waiting for a date for the Hull v Arsenal replay and this may not take place until the day of the quarter finals although Monday 7th March is looking a possible. I am going to go against my heart and send the next round of predictions out showing an Arsenal v Watford fixture. When returning your forms please include an alternative for Hull v Watford in the body of your email if you wish to. Otherwise I will take the score you have provided whichever way the fixture pans out.

Quarter final details were emailed out to contestants on Tuesday and is copied above.
