Conference half term review

expected-toulouseN&R Conference – Week 21

A 4th week on top for first seasoner Expected Toulouse. Harry is 120 odd points above the last promotion place so unless there is major f up, promotion in his first season looks a formality, although I am sure he would like to add a little trophy to his desk.

For Fuchs Sake, Pique Blinders and Nothing up front will all have something to say about that, and each has led the table at some point and remain in very close contention. As does No Fuchs Given.

Then there is a bit of a gap down to Brighton Blues in 6th even though Paul is one of the form teams in the league. Johno’s Lions, The No Hopers and The Wizard of Ozil also finished the year strong and will be hoping to play a part in that top 4 as the season moves into part 2.

Borussia Teeth as expected are in the mix and Roger’s Revenge came from nowhere in week 21 to burst into the pink places for the first time since week 5.

Keep the faith under the caretaker management of Jim are looking a good bet for promotion, that is unless Francey’s puts himself back in charge. Muddy Mavericks are a surprise package. Al has had a very good season to date, but the traditional lack of the transfers may be his undoing again.

Knock It Long and Hope For The Best had a good festive fantasy season and sit in 14th and old hand Doyley and Deportivo de La Ginger and Exeter Gently are joint 15th.

On the outskirts of the promotion race but very much in the picture are Italian Stallion, a previous leader, Crouching Woman and Hidden Cucumber plus Here we go again and Farcelona who have yet to be higher than 16th.

Lollygagging Millionaires, Algarve Eagles, Lamb the slaughter and Substandard Liège each I think need a shot of energy to boost their flagging hopes. They all started well but have faded.

Hammernation, Can Kone or Kante, Cobblers, AFC The Grapes and Goonersmoan all look rather comfy in the lower half of the table whilst it is a bit of a shock to see the fantasy talent of Go Large or Go Home floundering in 30th place.

With bottom place already taken, Who an earth does Nev have in his Arsenal reserve team we ask ourselves, those above Only one F in Forest, Crystal Alice and Men Behaving Chadli are safe from the wooden spoon but a long way from getting themselves out of the N&R Conference.
